I wish I could give a zero star for

I wish I could give a zero star for this place on the way it is organized . I was here to renew passport for my 10 yr old son for a 9:45 appointment. They said they had a little delay so we had to wait. It was -5 degrees outside and we had to wait outside ! There were many people waited before us because they wanted to be early for their appointment. So 10:30 and we still didn’t get to enter the building. I asked Mr at the reception window how much longer is the wait and he said he doesn’t know . We couldn’t wait anymore because it was too cold for my son ,so we left.

Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience. I called them for just a single question, if I don't live in Luxembourg and don't work there either, is it allowed to book a visa appointment with Luxembourg US consulate. I started the question with "Good afternoon, I have a question about Visa appointment", he interrupted me with "If you want to book an appointment, book it online", then I insisted with my question, and he kept interupting me saying book it online. Absolutely useless, how difficult is the question?

We had an appointment and were seen fairly quickly. Perhaps we just got lucky, but for what we needed, it was a good experience. Security were even quite friendly.

It is a big shame

It is a big shame. I needed for work the visa and it was quite urgent. It is almost impossible to reach them by phone, I sent several emails, the HR of the company I work for contacted them too and after one week we got the answer that for them it is not urgent and I can wait the normal time to get the visa, more or less one month at that time to get an appointment. I contacted the embassy in Bruxelles, they answered very quickly and they asked me to go there the morning after and two days after I had my passport with the visa for the next 10 years! I am curious to know how the grade of emercency is taken in consideration, for one embassy is urgent for another one no...
