Very organised. Very clean. Extremely busy. We camped in a tent and found a space but some caravans were turned away because it was full and they hadn't reserved. Great location.

We chose to come here with our car and rooftop tent due to good location and woody hill area, which we thought would be secluded and peaceful. We needed a spot with electricity, which we were told was totally fine. There was no specific spot assigned to us, just told to find a spot here and there. We luckily found the last free electricity outlet with a spot close by. We arrived on a Friday evening, and suffered a bad night's sleep due to very loud club/party down the hill. Showers and bathrooms are not enough and are very outdated, moldy at places and not very well cleaned.

Great little campsite. Friendly helpful staff, reasonable rates. On site cafe/restaurant really good food with a fair price. Free shuttle bus to the train station every 30mins.

This city camping on top of a hill was once a mining site. It's an experience. You have to pass a friendly surveillant to enter the site and it's a bit overwhelming if you're used to a rural camp site. There are a lot of residential inhabitants (yes, i've seen what a house in the city costs) and it feels crowded,... but in fact, once you settle down, it's not bad at all and we slepts well. Why come here for a long period? Perhaps if you're city folks and don't want to disconnect but still want to sleep among the trees. Not for shopping in the city at it's feet, 'cos it's shopping area has seen beter days, but is still worth a strawl. Now,... take the free bus, downhill to the city station, take the passerel there (you can't miss) and walk all the way up to the camping. The hill is in fact a most wonderfull park. You will have to go to one of Brussels' many parks or London's fancy green hills to come close to what this park has to offer. It's a gem! Of course you can do the other way around and walk down to take the bus back to the top. And if you have kids, go visit the small animal park next to the camping. It's build to give 'em the experience of a holliday, with friendly staff and an original playground, while you grab a local brew. So,... we did not regret our stay. Owkay,... about the camping,... Older Belgians might remember the movie 'Camping Cosmos'? Et alors! It was a good place to stay and we did have fun. So i would have given a 5/5 if the men's toilets hadn't smelled like a dixi after a festival. But don't let this stop you from discovering this surprisingly friendly environment.

I stayed here for 4 nights during the Animal Rights Conference, in a rented caravan. The caravan and awning were very spacious. The interior is a little dated but it's really nice to have electricity, the opportunity to cook, a fridge, and some outdoor-furniture! The price is also very reasonable and you can park your car next to the caravan. It's nice and quiet during the evening/night and the toilets & showers were neat & clean. I had a very pleasant stay and I will definately stay here again for the next conference. The campsite is on a big steep hill so take that in mind in case you're planning to use a bike to get to town; it's quite a heavy ride! And don't forget to bring bikelights because it gets pretty dark.
