The medical practitioner arrived five minutes past the scheduled meeting time, he leisurely prepared himself, switched on some tunes, and our consultation was deferred by an additional 10 minutes. In the midst of our session, he excused himself to attend to a personal call that lasted for approximately three minutes. Despite this, he failed to adequately explain the dental problem I was experiencing, the reasons behind it, and preventive measures to avoid such issues in the future. I have decided that I will not revisit that establishment unless faced with an urgent situation. Moreover, his overall demeanour was nonchalant, as though my dental health was not a priority to him. His professional etiquette was not up to par as he showed a lack of respect for my time by not adhering to the planned appointment schedule. In spite of the fact that his office was well equipped and clean, his lack of punctuality and disregard for my concerns overshadowed these positive aspects. Furthermore, he did not provide any concrete solutions or treatment plans for my dental issue, leaving me in the dark about the future of my oral health. His manner was not reassuring, and it was clear his attention was divided between the personal call and our appointment. I felt disrespected and undervalued as a patient, which is not acceptable in a healthcare setting. Unless I find myself in a dire emergency circumstance where I have no other option, this will be my last visit to this dental clinic. I believe patients deserve respect, timely care and comprehensive explanations about their health issues, all of which were lacking during my visit.
