Went there to get some advice on some troubles I have with my film camera and before I could even discuss the problem, the shop keeper arrogantly lectured me on how analog photography is a youth trend (I’m 30 btw) that has no future and that I shouldn’t be surprised that my camera is broken. He continued to rant on about how bad film cameras are since they are no longer manifactured and no one in Luxembourg would tend after them. I should get it fixed in Germany. I shoot digital too and will the be using that shop for my future purchases, if the staff cannot politely respond to my concerns.

In order to fairly rate this store I need to take several facts into account. First, it is not easy to run a business having a competition like Amazon and Ebay. Second, the store is based in Luxembourg, one of the least client orientated and most expensive countries I've visited. I have never used their services, I only bought equipment from the shop. The main advantage of the shop is its location. You can walk in and have a look at the cameras, lenses, tripods, bags and other equipment, I would say they are equipped quite well. In addition to new products they also have wide selection of used cameras and lenses. Price is another story, from time to time you might find a product or two which is priced similarly as in other stores, but if you are a type of person who checks and compares prices before the purchase you might get a headache when you see how pricey Photo Mirgain is. In my experience they don't reply to emails, either call them or go there. My personal purchasing experience is not the best, I ordered a filter and paid for it in the store. Two weeks later I came to ask about it only to find out they forgot to order it. Second time I bought a pricey wide angle lens, which came soft and with really big back focusing issues (not their fault), when I came to return it and request a new copy they accepted it but they were far from happy. Recently I bought a Nikon dock only to discover they sold me a Canon one when I got home. I want to support local shops but it's a two way street. Three stars out of five.

Great experience. They are competent and kind. They will gently solve all your problems or doubts. Prices are not necessarily higher than those of the big commercial centres and sometimes they will surprise you with convenient offers. A must try even just to look at the windows where a lot of unexpected devices wait for fan of photography.

It was fast and quick but sorry 40€ for 4 small pictures for visa is not acceptable at all, i feel i got scammed…
