I recently booked a stay at this hotel, drawn to its charm and unique stone walls. However, upon arrival, I discovered a serious issue: extensive mold growth on the walls. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they acknowledged that “the walls are alive” and “there’s nothing we can do about it” due to the natural stone. I explained that I am sensitive to black mold and requested a refund and that we would stay someplace else. They offered to move me to a room without exposed stone walls. However, given the small size of the hotel (only four rooms total), and I could smell the mold immediately upon entering the building, I felt unsafe staying there and chose to leave. Unfortunately, the hotel refused to issue any kind of refund, leaving me not only without accommodations but also out of pocket for a room I couldn’t safely use. I reached out twice since the date we were supposed to stay there (early/mid December 2024) and they have not responded to me. Mold is a serious health issue, especially for vulnerable guests, and I would urge the hotel to address this problem immediately. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values their health and safety.

Amazing location in Grund neighborhood. Easy check in, great rooms and service. The internal stone wall, weathered stairwell, and nice breakfast ($) were all wonderful perks. There is a free elevator right nearby to take you to top of plateau if you don’t want to or aren’t able to walk up the hill.

Perfect location on edge of old town. Walk up the road into center is 5 min. Hotel is a very nice building rebuilt to modern standard. Service was perfect to have a code access on late arrival. Sadly I had no time for breakfast, next time! Rooms are large and quite clean, though bathroom could use some mold deapclean need. Minor point was that someone smoked downstairs outside and it came into my room, so had to close window in evening, but ventilation worked well.

Very nice building Unesco protected! The rooms can be cleaner. The bed should have been double, but they were 2 single beds connected. The location was very nice, however next time I would choose at the upper part of the town. I did check in and check out by myself, which was a bit awkward. Parking is difficult in this area because it's crowded at the weekend. This hotel doesn't have elevator, so you hear the sound of people going up and down. The room was very spacious. They do not have any amenities at the room (and they explain that because of environmental protection 🙄). One of the 4 windows doesn't have curtains, so light was coming in the morning. They have left a homemade apple pie for us, which was very kind (and delicious).

The parking garage is a bit interesting to find. It’s in the hill next to the hotel. That part was a little confusing. Hotel is nice, cool that the building butts right up to that stone rock face.
