Review of MANDARINA HOTEL Luxembourg Strassen

I will initiate by mentioning the position of the hotel, which was conveniently located and simple to locate. The accommodations were fundamental, hygienic, and cozy, but one could detect the sound of people from the hallway while strolling around and from the windowpanes, you could also discern the external noise, particularly very early in the morning. I had settled the bill and requested a king-sized bed chamber, but they provided me with a twin room instead. When I inquired, they claimed they didn't have it available! Then why was a king-sized bed displayed when I made my reservation? Another aspect that I found off-putting about the hotel was the late check-in time of 4 PM. This was particularly inconvenient given that I had reached the city in the morning. The hotel also had closure times during the afternoon, which seemed illogical for a hotel establishment. The staff was tolerable, not exceptionally hospitable, but I suppose they executed their duties adequately. On a brighter note, the highlight was the complimentary parking area situated at the rear of the hotel, which was quite handy. Furthermore, the hotel was in close proximity to numerous attractions which made it ideal for tourists. The rooms, although basic, were equipped with all necessary amenities including a television, refrigerator, and a coffee maker. However, the lack of soundproofing was a major drawback as the noise from the corridor and the outside was quite disturbing, especially early in the morning. Regarding the room allocation, it was quite disappointing. Despite having paid extra for a king-sized bed, I was given a twin room. When questioned, the staff claimed they didn't have any king-sized rooms available which was quite perplexing considering that it was an option during the booking process. The late check-in time was another inconvenience. Arriving in the city early in the morning and then having to wait until 4 PM to check-in was not ideal. Furthermore, the hotel's practice of closing during the afternoon hours was quite baffling, as it's not a common practice in the hospitality industry. The staff, although not overly friendly, were competent in their roles. They did their jobs satisfactorily, albeit without much warmth or enthusiasm. On a positive note, the availability of complimentary parking at the back of the hotel was a major plus.
