Review of KINOLER
William Parker
Superb idea to open a new small movie theater in a tiny village in a time when more and more theaters close . I really love the concept and thank the people behind it. Amazingly nice and smiling staff. Never been greeted that nicely with a lovely smile when coming and going. That's how it should be. Well why then only four stars? They often show movies in a dubbed, instead of the original version. To me, that takes away quite a lot of a movie. The seats are big and everyone has a full seat. You don't have to share armrests. But, unfortunately the seats are way too hard and made of leather or pu leather that doesn't breathe. So you end up with an aching lumbal area and damp back on your shirt. Not sure if there is AC but during my visit, it was quite warm. And finally, the screen is wayyyy to close. I sat in the second row (of five) and I could see the pixel pattern and repeatedly had to pan my head quite a lot to see what happened on the silver screen. Also, I sat so close that I had to look up and thus the image was perspectively deformed. I will most definitely visit again. But this time, I will be there even earlier to catch a seat in the back row and bring some padding for the seats.
