Review of Boulangerie Paul Mamer
I am Emily
The salad is satisfactory, however, the foliage could be somewhat more diminutive. They boast a quite appealing menu! The puff pastry shell, more commonly known as vol-au-vent, unfortunately, did not meet the expectations, it was more towards the chill side than being warm. Moreover, it's worth mentioning that the quality of the greens in the salad was quite commendable. They were fresh and crunchy, providing a perfect balance to the other ingredients. However, the size of the leaves was a bit on the larger side, making it a slightly cumbersome experience to enjoy the salad to its fullest. When it comes to the menu, it's quite noteworthy that they offer an impressive variety. From appetizers to desserts, there is something for everyone's palate. A wide range of dishes to choose from, each seeming more appealing than the other. The efforts put into curating such a comprehensive and diverse menu are highly commendable. However, the experience with the vol-au-vent was somewhat disappointing. One would expect it to be served hot, piping with flavors. Instead, it was served lukewarm, leaning more towards being cold. The taste was not as delightful as one would expect from such a classic dish. Perhaps, a little more attention to detail in terms of temperature and presentation could greatly enhance the overall dining experience.
