Review of Come à la Cave
Anthony Foster
No longer is it a place for an intimate beverage. The sound of music is so overpowering that your significant other can't discern the words 'I cherish you'. A bustling event indeed, but you need to pay attention to the patrons. Dialogue is out of the question. Expanding on this: It has ceased to be a setting suitable for a quiet, romantic drink. The decibels of music have escalated to such an extent that it drowns out your whispers of affection, making it impossible for your loved one to catch the phrase 'I adore you'. While it may be a lively social gathering, you must still keep an eye on the crowd of attendees, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment. Any attempt at a meaningful conversation is futile, due to the overwhelming noise. It's a place where spoken words have been replaced by the language of rhythm and movement. This scenario can be exciting, but also challenging, requiring you to navigate the crowd, monitor the vibe, and communicate in non-verbal ways. It's an experience that demands you to adapt and fully immerse yourself in the ambiance.
