Review of Red Face
Robert Smith
The primary courses were pleasing, as was the chief waitress that attended to us. This is our second visit to this establishment; our initial visit four years ago was an equally enjoyable experience as all the meals were superb. Regrettably, the appetizers were a disappointment on this occasion. The satay chicken skewers were parched and lacked any sauce. The barbecued dumplings were just above room temperature and a few parts were unusually cold. Nevertheless, the noodles and the primary chicken course compensated for the earlier shortcomings. The noodles were cooked to perfection, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. The chicken dish, being the main course, was prepared with utmost attention to detail, making it a delight to the palate. The waitress who served us had an air of professionalism and warmth, making our dining experience more enjoyable. Her prompt service and friendly demeanor added to the overall positive atmosphere in the restaurant. The first time we visited this place, four years ago, we were taken aback by the remarkable quality of all the dishes we tried. It was a culinary experience that left a lasting impression on us, making us want to come back. This time, however, the starters left much to be desired. The satay chicken skewers were lacking in moisture and were served without any accompanying sauce. This was quite a letdown, as we were expecting the same quality as our first visit. Additionally, the grilled dumplings were not heated evenly. While some parts were lukewarm, others were oddly cold, which was quite off-putting. Despite the disappointing starters, the main course of noodles and chicken made up for it. The noodles were cooked just right, offering a pleasing texture and flavor. The main chicken dish, on the other hand, was a culinary delight. It was prepared with care, delivering a burst of flavors that made the dining experience worthwhile.
