It’s the oldest Japanese restaurant in Luxembourg. The owner explained that he’s experimenting with the concept of Ake, hence it’s now called Ake by Kamakura - new beginnings? Anyways, food is served as they are ready. Unfortunately, you might be the unlucky one and end up waiting for your dish to come which was exactly what happened to me. It was not a problem as our party of 5 ended up sharing dishes. They don’t have vegan dishes on their menu, but if you ask, they can make some like a cold tofu salad, cucumber or radish make. Wagyu, eel were excellent as my shrimp tempura and yakitori. Sake seems to be ok as well according to the drinkers. Only drawback imo was they served the rice last. How difficult is it to cook rice in a rice cooker? I’m sure that was prepared already. The Chef said we can order several bowls and it’s free, but there was no use for it any longer as we gobbled up all our food. lol We had a secluded table and it was much appreciated because we were a noisy and hungry bunch. For the price of 321 euros, it was money well spent. Soo glad we went here instead of the Michelin starred restaurant where I wouldn’t have eaten anything. Would defo come back again sooner not 15 years after.
