Review of New Royal Garden
Elizabeth Thompson
We arrived approximately at noon for a buffet meal and found that a majority of the serving stations were devoid of food, with the personnel seeming indifferent to replenishing the meal options. Considering the price tag of €18 for an adult and €12 for a toddler, the value for money is seriously lacking. The meals are served cold and it gives the impression of being cooked from a frozen state rather than freshly prepared. The staff members are generally lacking in professionalism, with the exception of one individual who made a commendable effort to converse in English. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. We could have sourced superior culinary options in Luxembourg for the same expenditure. Additionally, it is crucial to mention that the atmosphere of the restaurant did not make up for the lackluster food. The ambiance was lackluster, with no background music to create a lively dining experience. The service was not prompt, and we had to wait a considerable amount of time before our needs were attended to. The establishment also did not seem to have a proper system in place for catering to the customers, adding to the chaotic environment. The lack of variety in the buffet spread was also a letdown. The items on offer were mundane and lacked the flair one would expect from a buffet of this price range. The dessert section was particularly disappointing, with a limited selection of uninspiring options. In terms of hygiene, the restaurant left much to be desired. The cleanliness of the tables and cutlery was questionable, adding to our overall dissatisfaction. In conclusion, our visit to this establishment was less than satisfactory. We had higher expectations, especially given the location and price. For the same amount, we could have enjoyed a far superior dining experience elsewhere in Luxembourg.
