The worst experience ever. I rented a car for one day as I had to pickup my friend from another city. I took the car in the afternoon and I left it in the late evening. In the next morning, AVIS wrote me an email saying that they found a small scratch (less than 1cm) and they told me that I had to pay 800 euro. The car condition was the same as when I picked it up and I didn’t even park it somewhere during the trip. I am sure that I didn’t do that but they took the money from my bank account without my authorization. I have raised that problem to responsible institutions but AVIS is never replying to their letters and calls. Furthermore, their office is always closed and they do not send you a report before you take the car but they just leave the key to the airport reception. NEVER RENT A CAR THERE.

I'm a travel agent and this was the most horrible experience with a rent a car in all my life. I had a number reservation but my key wasn't there so I had to call Avis and they told that if I wanted a car I had to go to another station. I will be my last time Avis. And I wonder, who give me my money back for the call that I had to do to Avis Luxemburg??? I'm not from Luxemburg.

We have rented a car from the airport, even though we did not have a reservation. The gentleman at the check in desk, Gabriele H, was very helpful in finding us a car, even though he was fully booked. He had a proactive attitude in solving our problem and was able to find us a car that has just been dropped off. Excellent customer service!

Despite different reviews for Avis in this Luxembourg location. I was skeptic but decided to give it a try. They don’t really have a sign or an office there. After walking back and forth 3 times I found the little sign and the car park officer is working on their behalf to release the keys. After sorting out some administrative issues which I need to ring up the avis office. I could successfully get the keys and get to my Peugeot 208. The car was very new and clean. my car is to returned to the airport, so my return experience was excellent as well. I understand if I have to return the car in to the same place. It may be a little tricky because I have to get the parking ticket stamped in a machine as well. The parking officer is extremely helpful and friendly.
