My recent visit to the cigar lounge at Hotel Royal with a friend was far from the relaxing evening we had planned. Initially, we chose a cigar but found ourselves suddenly with no available seats due to the server losing our reservation. When he brought this to the our attention, his suggestion was to ask the guests who took our spots to leave which felt inappropriate… and he just suggested to come back later. Adding to our frustration, when we returned, another employee dismissively told us that waiting for seats wasn't worth it, while the original server stood by, offering no help or alternatives. This was particularly disheartening, considering the effort we made to drive there for a relaxing evening, only to be turned away and inconvenienced. This lack of basic customer care and problem-solving was a letdown from such a reputed establishment. I hope this feedback is taken on board to improve the service for future visitors.
