Review of BANGKOK Thai - Brasserie
John Smith
It was necessary for me to approach the front approximately 10-15 minutes later in order to make it clear that I was prepared to give my order, as my presence had been seemingly unnoticed. Following this, I was forced to endure a further wait of roughly 25 minutes for my main course, during which I observed those seated at tables who had arrived subsequent to me being catered to ahead of me. My appetite had dwindled and I was merely anticipating the arrival of the mango sticky rice to lift my spirits. Much to my dismay, however, I was informed that they had already depleted their supply of it, despite my placing a request for it an hour prior. To add insult to injury, the level of service was lackluster. It was as if I was invisible to the waitstaff. My patience began to wane as the minutes ticked by without my order being taken. The lack of attention was disheartening, and I decided to take the initiative, approaching the front desk after what felt like an eternity. Despite my efforts, I was met with further delay for my main course, nearly 25 minutes or so. This wouldn't have been as frustrating if it weren't for the fact that I observed patrons who arrived after me being served their food before me. My hunger gradually waned, replaced by a growing sense of frustration. I found myself clinging to the hope that the mango sticky rice I had ordered would somewhat alleviate my disappointment. However, even this small comfort was denied to me. Despite ordering it well in advance, approximately an hour earlier, I was informed that they had completely run out. This was the final blow to what had already been an extremely disappointing dining experience.
