Review of BANGKOK Thai - Brasserie
Arthur Blackwood
If I had to rate it, I'd be inclined to assign it a modest score of 3.5. This is, arguably, a reasonable cost in consideration of the volume offered. I made a decision to order the basil chicken, but unfortunately, I found the dish to be less than satisfactory. The entire serving only contained a pair of basil leaves, and it had a conspicuous absence of fresh chilis, lime, or a fried egg. Its quality wasn't necessarily poor, but I can confidently assert that I am capable of preparing a superior version in my own kitchen. On a brighter note, though, the curry dish that my acquaintance ordered appeared to be of a higher standard. Furthermore, I would like to add that the service was not exceptional. The wait staff seemed to be slightly overwhelmed, leading to a delay in the delivery of our food. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it did leave a bit of a sour taste. I do want to commend their variety of dishes, though. There was a wide range of selections that should cater to different palates. In comparison to other restaurants in the area, this one falls somewhere in the middle. It's not bad by any means, but it definitely has room for improvement. If given another chance, I might try some other dish from their menu, since the basil chicken was a letdown. All in all, it was an average dining experience.
