Review of Podium Crafts Hairdressers
Olivia Patterson
My most recent haircut dates back to November 2020, and regrettably, it wasn't the most satisfactory one I've ever had. I reached out to Podium via a phone call, and the individual who answered was incredibly friendly and seamlessly switched to conversing in English. Semi, the hairdresser who took care of my hair today, was splendidly patient with my restricted comprehension and fluency in French. She courteously utilized Google Translate to communicate with me, discussing her ideas on my desired hairstyle and what she could do taking into account my previous haircut. She consistently kept in touch with me, using "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" gestures to gauge my satisfaction. When it was time to settle the bill, she and her colleagues cheered me on and lauded my efforts in managing to exchange some details in French - which is quite impressive considering that I'm only a week into my French lessons. Every single person was welcoming, patient, and kind-hearted. For my initial haircut away from the comfort of my home, Semi absolutely hit the mark! Her exquisite skills and patience, combined with the warm environment of the salon, made this a memorable experience. The fact that she took the time to understand my preferences and limitations, and then worked her magic to give me a haircut that exceeded my expectations, truly speaks volumes about her professionalism. It's safe to say that I was more than pleased with the result, and I am incredibly grateful for the whole experience. The staff's encouragement and acknowledgement of my efforts to communicate in French boosted my confidence and made me even more motivated to continue with my language studies. This was not merely a haircut, it was a cultural exchange and a learning moment that I will cherish.
